From November 18 to 20, China Open Access Week 2024, themed “Open Science in Action | Building an Innovative and Inclusive Future,” was held at the National Science Library, Chinese Academy of Sciences.
Aligned with the 758th session of the Xiangshan Science Conferences on “Open Science Trends and Impacts,” the event served as a dynamic platform for advancing global scientific innovation and promoting knowledge sharing. It brought together over 200 participants, including leading experts, young scholars, social organizations, and representatives from academia, education, publishing, libraries, and enterprises, both domestic and international. Participants engaged in vibrant discussions on the latest trends, challenges, and practical pathways in open science, fostering global collaboration and knowledge exchange.
The event featured four keynote speeches, one roundtable forum, nine thematic presentations, six parallel sessions presenting 25 action reports, and five showcases of exemplary initiatives. These sessions highlighted critical topics and cutting-edge achievements in open science. Seventeen initiatives were spotlighted as outstanding action cases, setting benchmarks for innovation and best practices in the field of open science.
