The 758th Session of the Xiangshan Science Conferences: Academic Discussion on “Open Science Trends and Impacts” Successfully Held in Beijing

On November 4–5, 2024, the 758th session of the Xiangshan Science Conferences, themed Open Science Trends and Impacts,” was successfully held in Beijing. The conference was chaired by Professor Yang Wei from Zhejiang University, Researcher Liu Xiwen from the National Science Library, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Senior Editor Peng Bin from Science Press. More than 40 experts and scholars from over 20 domestic institutions were invited to participate.

The conference featured in-depth discussions on the following topics:

1. Open knowledge and science communication

2. Open data infrastructure

3. Open science policies and governance

Professor Yang Wei delivered a keynote commentary titled “Trends and Impacts of Open Science,” providing insightful perspectives that set the tone for the discussions.
