On 29th October 2024, the director of the Library of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Ms. Skvortsova and the head of the Asia-Africa Office visited National Library Science, Chinese Academy of Sciences.The meeting was presided over by Director Liu Xiwen, with the attendance of heads from relevant departments.
The director of the Library of the Russian Academy of Sciences visited the 'Literature Exhibition of Scientific Imprints' and the reading room on the third floor, followed by in-depth discussions between both parties.
Director Liu Xiwen warmly welcomed Ms. Skvortsova and the accompanying representatives from the Library of the Russian Academy of Sciences. During their meeting, Director Liu provided a comprehensive overview of the library and its previous collaborations with the Russian Academy of Sciences. In response, Ms. Skvortsova expressed her gratitude to our center for facilitating this exchange opportunity and for offering an introduction to the functions and collections housed within the Library of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
Ultimately, both parties engaged in comprehensive discussions regarding key issues such as the sharing of document resources, document transmission, collaborative development of the Russian version of the PubScholar public academic platform, academic exchanges, and personnel visits. In their concluding remarks, both parties affirmed that the exchange and discussions had yielded significant outcomes and would further enhance cooperative intentions while implementing relevant measures.
