This center undertakes periodical publication and market operation. It organizes and undertakes national periodical publication and industrialization projects. It also explores the new types of academic publishing modes, organizes the platform of new types of periodical publication. Besides, it supports the academic publication of scientific and technological periodicals of Chinese Academy of Sciences and provides operation services. It is entrusted to manage and coordinate the policy, talents, intensive development and knowledge service of scientific and technological periodicals of Chinese Academy of Sciences. Specifically, it undertakes the routine work of Society of Scientific and Technological Periodicals, CAS.
It sets up an editorial and publishing team, a publishing platform development and operation team and a comprehensive management and training team (attached to the Society of Scientific and Technological Periodicals, CAS). The Scientific and Technological Periodical and Training Center is also attached to this center.
